BMI Center has been focusing on the research of creating advanced functional materials from the natural building blocks, including collagen, tannins, polyphenols, and even living cells. The applications have been extended from biomedical engineering to environmental science.

 

Through the engineering of functional materials, BMI Center is also interested in the study of fundamental science, including colloidal science, interface, and cell biology.
